What is a General Plan?
The City of Dixon adopted a General Plan in May 2021 intended to guide growth through 2040. In 2025, the City initiated an update to that plan, including proposals to annex nearby county land for future residential development. In April 2026, the City released revised maps reflecting changes to those proposals and is now asking the community to review them. Public input on the updated maps is expected to begin in May 2026.
